The Side Show

This is another Chuck Wendig Flash Fiction Challenge. I highly recommend you check out the picture that was given as the prompt this week. I have other ideas and just may write a couple more stories based on this one. For now, enjoy this...

  2. I did, too. I felt like it was definitely mistreated and being child-like made the feelings run deeper.

Although, I think it's bite is worse than it's "bark", er, or would that be scream!?!

Thanks for dropping by and for the comment! :)

  4. What a wonderful read! I really liked the 20's type feel of a sideshow, and how scary it is when you're a kid going to see one. The fear of the unknown makes us all nervous. Like Shree, I felt sorry for the boy being presented, who was obviously abused. But I also felt badly for the viewer, who they took obvious pleasure in terrifying. Nice short story. I'm glad I read it!
